Still Everquest 2 and Takeover
May 12th 2009 03:39
Some major updates today!
1) As you may have noticed I have taken over the Gamerbard blog. I hope that I live up to the tradition of quality postings and information already presented here.
2) I'm STILL playing EQ2. It has been about a week and it has its wonderful digital claws deep in my mind.
Last I posted I was playing a Warden and a Warlock. I have since expanded my small alt army to include a Mystic, Dirge, Illusionist, Templar, Guardian, and Troubadour.
I've spent a good deal of time tabbing over and back between the three characters. It has worked AMAZINGLY! I've become interested in using Inner Space, and Keyclone, but it seems they might be against the EULA. There is some contention that by sending keystrokes to multiple clients allows for automated gameplay. from the eula '...you may not use, post, host or distribute macros, “bots” or other programs which would allow unattended game play or which otherwise impact game play." My thoughts are that they aren't that disruptive to gameplay, but I don't want to be banned... so I just won't use them!
I've been playing on Nagafen, the PvP rule server. It is disheartening. From the week or so that I've played I haven't been able to kill anyone of equal level. All the Freeporters, or Freeps as they are called have been twinked out (twink= creating a new character and providing him/her with l337 gear and the best spells to outperform what a normal n00b would be capable of). I try to avoid PvP when possible, but instead of running from the server I'm going to stick with it and see if I can make some money, get some skills upgraded, and kill some freeps.
I remember when the Nagafen server started I played on it, and we called them FPers. I guess it has changed to Freeps. I'm always surprised at how things change in MMORPGS.
I've begun investing in Tradeskilling and Harvesting. I've been selling the items on the broker with some serious success. I'll make a post about how to do so next.
In parting, I hope you welcome me to this new url and leave with these ss:
