Everquest 2 return 1

I really wasn't joking around when I said that I jump all over the place when it comes to gaming. True, i've been whoring out the SOE all access station pass, but I have been making full use of my gaming monies. This weekend I logged in to EQ2 and started a few Fae characters.
I started with a warlock and a warden. I found this to be a very powerful combination. It allowed me to duo almost anything i could come across. The warlock is a great class to take on multiple targets provided that you have heals. Thanks to the warden's regen heals i could quickly tab over to her and cue up a few regens, then tab back to the warlock and nuke the mobs. I found that pulling multiples were easiest. Unfortunately I don't have any screenies of this as I was focused on not dying. I'll get a few up soon.
I played for about a day and a half and leveled VERY quickly.
I used a game invitation from an old account and started a new EQ2 account for the free 14 day trial. When you group together, new account and old, or the invitee and invited accounts, then you get a 200% xp bonus for the 2 weeks. When you purchase a game subscription you get all the expansions for free. This is a wickedly sweet deal. I'm really surprised that SOE would do this, but hey, i'm going to milk it for all its worth. Leveling alts really has never been easier, well except in EQ.
Things I love about EQ2
1) Wonderful Graphics. Almost good enough to make me stay I think.
2) Varied zones and atmosphere. This goes well with the graphics, but each zone is distinctively different from the next, and the mobs found there change as well.
3) Variety of classes. There are a bunch to choose from. I think that there is no loner a class and race restriction, which is neat, but takes a little away from the lore.
Some things I don't love about EQ2
1) Class based game. Ugh, i'm getting sick of them. One reason why I have an ALT Addiction, i want to play them all!
2) slow leveling. Never been to the top. ever.
3) PvP is totally unbalanced, or I just suck terribly at it. If i tried to kill someone with my warden I'd die, even if i were a few levels above. In The Caves near Qeynos I was repeatedly killed by a 13 warden while on my 12 Dirge. There was nothing i could do. He rooted, nuked, and nuked me. I was toast. Killed me like 8 times just camping me. this Pissed me off so much. So I logged out. Agh, still makes me mad.
